Memorial Day .....Sayyy WHAAA def some suprises!!!

So I was really excited to be off of work and for Kip to have a 4 day weekend to hang out. Well lets just say it didn't start off very well....................
Yepp....that is my car on a boulder....funny now but I was freaking out. Was trying to turn around and didn't see it coming out of the ground. Whoooops.

Called out the big guns!
Getting there.
Finally!!!
It was a super frustrating experience but thank goodness there was not a lot of damage and Kip didn't kill me! And it all worked out in the end.

Decided to head downtown for a block party and fashion show, and then decided to head back to a friends house for some chill time after a stressful day for everyone.
How to open a bottle without a wine opener......

Our plan was to head up to Hatchers Pass for some hiking and camping......but the weather had other plans. Just shows how different the weather can be just 45min away.
Not happy.... we hate snow! So we decided to head to Lake Eklutna in Chugach State Park. We had a great time hiking and had some amazing views!
Love <3
Made it to the top after an up hill climb, still feeling it in the booty!

The view from the bench at the top..... Twin peaks! (little cloudy)

Amazing! View of Lake Eklutna
Working on my wood knocks, for the squatches....practice

Resting up then headed home. Decided to have a sleep over at a friends house and go squatch hunting. Had to teach a few people the facts and certain techniques. Thank goodness I had my professional caller!

Had a great cook out, ball game and dance party the next night and had a blast. Also we went to see Kip's Aunt and Uncle at the airport for the start of their Alaska vacation! Took them around Anchorage and had dinner the next day, sad I have to work on Wed and wont get to see them but hope they have a great trip!
Kabobs..... my fav!

Shots, Shots, Shots!
Bringing the Wobble to Alaska! haha
Had a great weekend and love that our family visitors have started coming, cant wait to hear about their adventures! Not excited about going back to work but only 6 more shifts, and hoping I get a job in Columbia soon! Well keep everyone posted about the decision. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and thankful for all my military family in Alaska!!

Let the countdown BEGIN!

Had a great week/weekend with lots of moose (meese as I like to call them), shopping and eating! My moose count is way up after seeing a TON on our recent walk! Kip kept telling me they could smell my fear...... not helpful when they were so close!!!!!
Saw a total of 6 this day in the park, Kip thinks a few were the same, I disagree!
Amazing view of the coast! Love the trails in anchorage!

So the move is fast approaching, so much to do and so little time! Working on our play list, Dinners Drive-Ins and Dives stops and entertainment along the way. I have always wanted to drive across country and I cant believe I am actually getting a chance to do it. Esp with a great planner/navigator/and travel man like Kip. He def thinks of things that never cross my mind, location of passports (for Canada), and miles we will/should be traveling every day. Getting excited for our triple D's adventures since I LOVEEEEE the show, the Grand Canyon, and the West Coast. Will have more on our stops later :)

Check out our planned route------>

Not every exact stop but pretty much the idea! Cant wait.

Fiesta and a Bonfire!

Have been slacking a little on the blog posts! We have had a great couple of weeks with friends. Starting to warm up but still pretty cold some days. Getting excited for our families visits this summer and our move back south. We celebrated Cinco De Mayo with some of our friends, with great food and salsa lessons from our favorite Mexicans :)

The girls after cutting josh out of the picture!
Let the lessons begin!

She LOVED the balloons, so much fun!
Pinata time!!!

Candy, Candy Candy!!!

This past week was also Nurses Week, didn't mention it to Kip because didn't really seem like a big deal. I was so busy and tired at work this week I just came home and went strait to bed. On my last night for the week I went upstairs for the first time and saw this waiting for me, got to love him! He also took me out to dinner this weekend to celebrate.

Decided to have a bonfire out at our friend Olivia's house this past weekend since she lives near a nice river area. Was pretty cold but everyone did a great job building the fire. Not excited about wearing my winter jacket in "summer" but turned out to be a great time with great friends!
Just an Alaska summer day!
Ready for some Dogs and S'mores!

Yuuummmooo, my favorite!

The ladies! So much fun even in the cold!
Just a Saturday night in Alaska! Still daylight out around 9:30!
If this doesn't make you want a marsh mellow or S'more, I don't know what will!
Hope everyone had a great weekend and can't wait for the weeks to come! Stay tuned!
